Something Clever began as a dream—born one night when a clever idea struck, and a Franklin storefront happened to open up just two doors down from Feldman Jewelers. The original owner, Niki Cummings Volmrich, turned that spark of inspiration into a boutique that quickly became a downtown favorite. For years, Something Clever served as a go-to for gifts, fashion, and community connections.
Now under the direction of new ownership, the boutique continues that tradition with a refreshed spirit and renewed sense of style. We honor the legacy that came before, while bringing in new energy, new collections, and a whole lot of heart. From minor jewelry repairs and watch battery replacements to personalized gift recommendations and complimentary wrapping, we’re all about making shopping feel seamless, thoughtful, and—above all—fun.

Meet Bobby, the man behind the watch bench! Bobby is in every Friday to replace watch batteries and adjust links on watch bands. He enjoys helping with the watches and inviting his fellow men in the store to take a seat in our comfy club chairs while the ladies shop!
